How we can support & empower the elderly in Bali
Many elderly people in Bali are unable to support themselves and thus live in poverty in villages around Bali. Empowering our senior citizens can help improve their quality of life and give them a sense of hope and stability.
Why the elderly live alone while they are aging?
Family dynamics and distance with adult-children who live on different islands, due to work or having a family of their own, may contribute to difficulties in visiting or taking care of their parents.
Many elderly individuals lose their spouse and end up living alone. Physical conditions and sickness may lead them to live in poverty, as Indonesia has low per-capita income and low economic development as well.
Emotional factors, as some of them may prefer solitude due to introverted personalities or they may feel burdened by the idea of moving into their children’s family.

Our CSR Initiative to Empower the Elderly in Bali
Starting in 2021, Pepito Supermarket has been actively running a dedicated CSR Program. In this case, they partnered closely with Raw Foundations.
